Cashier’s checks are convenient payment methods since both parties know the funds are guaranteed. Many large purchases, such as vehicle purchases or home down payments, may have cashier’s checks as the preferred payment method. Luckily, you can quickly get Capital One cashier’s checks through various methods.
Yes, Capital One offers cashier’s checks. You can get cashier’s checks through your checking account for a reliable payment method typically considered as good as cash.
To purchase a cashier’s check online, all you have to do is sign in to your Capital One account and follow a few simple steps on its website.
Select the account from which you want to draw the cashier’s check. Under your balance information, click on “Account Services & Settings.” Under the “Checks” category, you’ll see “Cashier’s Check.” Select that option and follow the next instructions.
Capital One will send you a code through SMS or other two-factor authentication methods to ensure security. Enter the verification code once you receive it. Don’t share this sensitive information with anyone.
Next, it will prompt you to enter the details for your check. You can verify the account you’ll draw the funds from. Enter the amount of the check, the name of the payee, and a memo if you wish.
Once you have added the check details, select a delivery option. Capital One will automatically fill in your address on file. You can also have the check delivered directly to the payee or an alternate address. You’ll also receive a delivery date estimate at this point.
Once you have entered everything, you’ll have one last chance to review the payment and delivery info. Carefully check these details, then review and agree to Capital One’s terms. Click “Order My Cashier’s Check,” and the process is complete.
If you’re ordering a cashier’s check using a mobile device, you may find it easier to complete the process using Capital One’s mobile app. You can text “GET” to 80101 or access it via your device’s app store to download it.

You’ll then go through a series of prompts to collect your check details. Select the appropriate account and tap “Next.” Enter the payee, amount and optional memo, and select “Next.”
You’ll now have the option to choose from the existing address Capital One has on file, have the check shipped directly to the payee, or enter a different address. Make your selection, and select “Next.”
The details you’ve entered, including the account, payee, amount and delivery info, will appear on-screen for you to review. Check them carefully, then review the agreements at the bottom of the screen. Once complete, slide the “Slide to Order” bar to complete the process.
You can always visit your local Capital One branch in person to purchase a cashier’s check. The teller can answer any further questions you have about cashier’s checks.
If you experience difficulty ordering cashier’s checks in any way, you can reach out to Capital One’s customer service. Its automated services are open 24/7, and live support is available seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET at 800-655-2265.

In most cases, any order placed before 2 p.m. ET on a business day will arrive at its destination the next business day. Deliveries are not carried out on weekends or holidays. Some addresses, such as those in Alaska and Hawaii, don’t allow for next-day shipping. Deliveries are typically made within three to five business days in these areas.

A cashier’s check from Capital One looks similar to a regular check except for a few key differences.
First, it will be identified as a cashier’s check at the top of the check. The name of the business or person the check is made out to will be printed rather than written by hand. Finally, it will have the bank’s routing number and account number instead of your personal checking account.
Yes, Capital One offers a variety of alternative payment options that can replace a cashier’s check in certain situations. Depending on the amount, options such as a direct bill payment or a wire transfer may be suitable. Capital One also recommends using Zelle for payments to trusted friends or family.
If you need a cashier’s check today, a Capital One branch can provide one right away. However, ordering online or via the bank’s mobile app can expedite shipment directly to the payee, which could be your best option. In either case, Capital One makes it easy to create secure and reliable payments by offering a variety of ways to get a cashier’s check.
