TrueType text is clipped at the edge of a sheet or viewport

TrueType fonts are clipped at edge of a sheet or viewport, usually the bottom and left sides, when the PDF is created using the Bluebeam printer driver in AutoCAD.

Solution

You can resolve the problem using any of the following options.

  1. Use Post Processing when creating a PDF:
    1. In the Save As window, select the Enable option under Post Processing.
    2. Select Manage.
    3. Select the Remove Text Clipping option and click OK.
    1. Open the PDF in Revu.
    2. Select Document >Repair PDF.
    3. Select the Remove Text Clipping option and click OK.
    1. Change the margins to 0 inch (or 0mm) for all four borders.
    2. For details about changing the printable page size, click here.
    1. Exit AutoCAD.
    2. In Revu, select Revu > Administrator .
    3. Select the AutoCAD Page Sizes tab.
    4. Select Heidi or Printer Driver in the dropdown list.
    5. Click OK to exit the Administrator.
    6. Restart AutoCAD.

TrueType text will not be searchable in the PDF when the Heidi driver is used because the TrueType fonts in the drawing will be exported as vector line segments and not searchable text. To find out more information about the different types elements in a PDF file, click here.
